Hosted by jCanna in Portland, Oregon August 28th-30th, The 2017 Cannabis Science Conference is sure to be one for the books. After the amazing reception of the 2016 conference, this year’s conference is in an even larger space, with more than 60,000 square feet of exhibition space and 50,000 square feet of space for meetings and technical presentations. Packed with speakers and events, each day is designed to inform participants about the technical and scientific side of the booming cannabis industry.

Events

Don’t miss out on the exciting full day Canna Boot Camp. This event will cover a wide range of topics, including edible manufacturing, cultivation, extraction, sample prep, analytical testing and more. The boot camp will involve both demonstrations and interactive portions to give novices a fantastic insight into the cannabis industry and the chance to talk with experts.

Tracks

To get the most out of the conference choose one of the two tracks offered: analytical or medical. Each track has different sessions and keynotes speakers throughout the course of the conference. If you are looking to gain further understanding of the latest research, cultivation, testing, and extraction techniques the analytical track is for you. The medical track includes panels on the following: how it relates to nutrition, pediatrics, and the effects of pesticides on the medicinal properties and much more.

Keynote Speakers

Numerous keynote speakers will give talks throughout the conference for both tracks, including Montel Williams, who heartily advocates for the use of medical marijuana for a variety of different diseases including multiple sclerosis; Dr. Sue Sisley, an Arizona based physician who specializes in internal medicine and psychiatry; Uma V.A. Dhanabalan, MD, MPH, FAAFP, a doctor working in Family and Occupational Medicine and who is a diplomate certified in cannabis medicine; David (Dedi) Meiri, PhD, a biology professor at Technion Israel Institute of Technology; and Dr. Jack Henion, a leader in the field of MS and LC/MS.
